Depth: 50 ft
Current: open area, can have current and rough water
We used to go here occasionally for a quick dive on a week night when we wanted to go diving but didn’t have much time.
I personally haven’t been here in a long time. The access has changed since I used to dive there. It’s a tiny bit further to walk now down an old paved boat launch. The launch is no longer used and vehicle access down the water is no longer possible. The parking lot is just off Fillinger Crescent.
My memory is a shallow dive, if you stick close to shore where all the rocks are that is where most of the life is.
Again another site that is good for refreshing your skills, getting used to night diving, or poking around looking for small life. We did venture out in different directions but I don’t remember finding anything notable. This site is not popular with local divers so deserted most of the time. If it’s windy and there’s a bit of a chop on the water use caution getting in and out of the water as the larger waves can easily cause you to loose your footing and you’ll be dragged on the rocks on lower tides.
For night dives, don’t forget a shore light for your exit point.
