Right from Tom’s first breath underwater he was hooked, fascinated, curious and very relaxed - there is nothing else like experiencing the underwater world. Tom certified on Vancouver Island in 1986, and has continued to advance his certifications and skills becoming a PADI Divemaster in 2017. He is working towards becoming a PADI Instructor. Tom enjoys sharing his dive adventures with others, either assisting a newly certified diver, guiding tourists on our local shore dives or sharing his amateur videos with friends and family. Tom believes it’s important to continue to learn and keep your skills fresh which creates great dive buddies and ensures awesome, safe dives.

Christian first got certified as an open water diver during the fall of 1989 in Lake Minnewanka, Alberta. He's been hooked ever since. His love for diving lead him to leave Alberta and make Vancouver Island his home. During the pandemic he was fortunate enough to complete his certification as a PADI Divemaster and now gets to share his adventures with others. His favourite sites are Dolphin Beach and the small wall at Madrona. He enjoys watching students expand on their skills and become more confident divers during the PADI Advanced Open Water Course.
Katie is from Alberta, but fell in love with the ocean after spending time on Vancouver Island, exploring beaches with her family and studying at the Bamfield Marine Sciences Centre. She started her scuba training in the lakes around Calgary before going tropical, diving in Barbados, Fiji, and Mexico, where she recently completed her PADI divemaster training. Katie hopes to explore more of Vancouver Island’s (much colder!) underwater world while she studies fisheries at VIU
